Monitoring the resin infusion of a large part in an oven

It is not very often that we are allowed to show parts of our work. Four flexible temperature/ resin arrival sensors and one flexible cure sensor were placed at critical locations around the fibre glass and carbon preforms and connected to an OptiFlow and an Optimold system. Both were used successfully to record the temperature and the electrical resistance of a cure cycle of more than 36 hours long. The main target was to keep the maximum temperature of the exothem under control and to identify the end of cure in order to save time ensuring part quality.
